What happens to your description
A product description is commercially sensitive, so reguide's server keeps none of it.
If you don't send it
- Your description is not sent anywhere, and it is not saved.
- Your answers go to reguide's server, which reads them to work out the class and keeps nothing.
- No language model is used at any point.
- The pack is written entirely by reguide's code.
If you choose OpenAI
- Your description is sent to OpenAI once, to read the facts it states. You check each fact before the questions start.
- If you later list the parts yourself, you are asked whether to send the description and your list once more; nothing is sent unless you say yes.
- When the questions are finished, the draft pack, which quotes your words, is sent once more for the short plain-words overview at its top.
- Each of these goes to OpenAI through reguide's server, which keeps nothing. Nothing else goes to OpenAI; your answers go to reguide's server, as they do if you don't send it, and the class is still worked out by reguide's code.
What is saved, and where
Your description, answers and pack are saved only in the folder you choose. Our server reads your answers to work out the class, and keeps nothing. If you choose OpenAI, your description is sent to OpenAI.
In a browser that cannot open a folder you choose, such as Safari or Firefox, they are saved in that browser's own storage on your computer instead. Save a copy from Your assessments to keep one elsewhere.
You can delete an assessment from Your assessments, or delete its files from your folder.
The search of the TGA's register
To find comparable products, reguide's server searches the TGA's public register (the ARTG) with the few generic words you type for that search, such as "bone screw". It never sends your description there.
OpenAI
When you choose OpenAI, what it keeps and for how long is governed by OpenAI's terms for its API, not by reguide. Choose not to send it if your description must not go to OpenAI.
